CARVED AND PIERCED IVORY BOX. Mid 19th century, Northern India. Rectangular box finely carved overall with pierced arabesques within a pointillated border. SIZE: 2-1/4″ h x 8-1/2″ l x 3-1/4″ d. CONDITION: With nice color and patina. Shrinkage cracks to ends of lid. Proper left rear corner with loss to ivory. Proper right rear corner of box with square repair.
