JOHN STEUART CURRY (American, 1897-1946) “THE PLAINSMAN”. Limited edition signed original lithograph shows a rugged man standing with rifle in deerskin clothes and hat with feather. He stands before a recently shot buffalo. A buffalo herd is seen on the plains behind. Pencil signed lower right. Housed in a simple black wood frame with white matte having an Associated American Art label affixed to back having title and biographical information. PROVENANCE: From a Bangor, Maine Estate. SIGHT SIZE: 16-1/2” x 10-1/4”. CONDITION: Slight toning to edge, very good. 9-72714 (800-1,200)
