Oil on board scene shows a black woman with blue shirt and white dress steadies basket on her head as she walks through clearing in woods towards small stream. Housed in a gilt gesso decorated period frame which has pencil writing on back “Painted by Henri _ D. Howell About 1875”. SIZE: 9” x 6-1/4”. CONDITION: Very good. Three small pieces of gesso off frame. 9-98179 (100-200)
