UNSIGNED (19th/20th Century) THE LOVE LETTER. Oil on composite artist board shows a young woman seated at stand applying a wax seal to an envelope. The scene is lit by a small brass chamberstick and an open inkwell is seen on stand. The candle shines on her white lace gown and she looks up at viewer with a smile. Housed in what may be its original French style frame with an old label “Portrait of a Lady by Corte F. Blomer”. SIZE: 12” x 10”. CONDITION: Some surface dirt, good. 9-99864 (300-500)
