SMITH CIVIL WAR CARBINE. Cal .52. 21-5/8” part oct bbl. Made by Mass Arms Co. Strong “AGN” and “JM” cartouches on the left side of the stock. SN 18827. CONDITION: Very good with 50% blue on bbl and strong traces of casehardening on the receiver mixed with light surface rust and pitting. Bbl band has been reblued, trigger guard and buttplate are covered with light surface rust. Wood is fine. Bore is bright but the rifling is very shallow. 4-49803 X12 (1,500-2,500)
