11″ CYLINDER EXCELSIOR MUSIC BOX WITH 6 BELLS. Inlaid case with ebony trim. Music box features zither attachment and six bells with butterfly strikers. Bells are held on with little flowers. Plays eight tunes. SIZE: 10 1/2″ t x 22″ w x 12 1/2″ d. CONDITION: Case is nice and solid with inlay on top needing some repairs. Approximately one third of floral inlay in center is missing. String inlay around borders is mostly complete. Inlay on front appears complete. Tune card, listing eight tunes, has slight damage to top edge and corners. Mechanism has been nicely restored by Charles Wilson of Louisville, KY, with beautiful rich tone. 1-5883 EO (2,500-3,500)
