FINE CASED PAIR FRENCH TARGET PISTOLS. Cal .50. 10-1/8” oct damascus bbls. Marked “J. PECANTIN A ORLEANS” on each lock. In a fine walnut case with silver shield on top. The interior is lined with green velvet and has fitted recesses for the pistols, cleaning rod, ramrod, bullet mold, powder flask, glass oil bottle, a tin containing greased patches, cap box, mallet and combination screwdriver and nipple wrench. The last three and the rods are all done in a light wood. There is also a covered compartment for the key and balls. NSN. CONDITION: Fine plus with bright metal overall. Stocks appear to have been revarnished. There are small cracks at the lockplate screw. The case has minor dents on the top, lining is clean and bright. Mallet head and screwdriver handle have several cracks. Bullet mold has been polished. The silver top on the oil bottle is not marked. Powder flask retains all most all of its varnish. 4-49823 FS171 (2,500-4,000)
