STEPHEN MORGAN ETNIER (American, 1903-1984) SCHOOL’S OUT. Early oil on canvas scene shows a large brick school letting out its children. Several parents have arrived to pick them up in cars and by foot. A monument in a park setting is seen on the right side. Unsigned front but signed on the back and dated “1936”. Housed in an antique wide gesso decorated frame. Old writing on back stretcher indicating that the painting came from Milch Galleries of New York. SIZE: 17″ x 25″. CONDITION: Under glass. Good, some lifting and small chips to bottom edge. 9-90038 (3,000-5,000)
