GROUP OF CHINESE EXPORT CANTON TABLEWARES. 19th century, China. Including strap handle caudle cup with cover, two creamers with pinched spouts, two leaf dishes and two serving dishes with notched corners (missing covers). All with typical aquatic landscapes and with rain and cloud borders. SIZE: Pot: 5-1/2″ h. Jugs: 3″ and 3-1/2″ h. Leaf dishes: 7-3/4″ and 7-1/4″ l. Serving dishes: 8-1/4″ and 9-3/4″ l. PROVENANCE: Property of Mary and Franklin Dexter of Boston, Massachusetts. Acquired while on a round the world tour in 1891 on the P&O Steamship Line. CONDITION: Generally very good. Serving dishes minus covers. One leaf dish with 3/4″ roughness at edge. 9-25551 (400-600)
