LARGE GROUP OF CHINESE EXPORT CANTON TABLEWARES. 19th century, China, and later. Including 12 7″ shallow bowls, 10 5″ rice bowls, 1 5-3/4″ rice bowl, 6 3-3/4″ shallow bowls and 11 2-3/4″ miniature bowls. Each with typical aquatic landscape decoration. SIZE: As noted. PROVENANCE: Property of Mary and Franklin Dexter of Boston, Massachusetts. Acquired while on a round the world tour in 1891 on the P&O Steamship Line. This group with some later additions. CONDITION: Generally very good. One 7″ bowl with shallow rim chip. Five 5″ rice bowls with small rim chips and hairline. Miniature bowls with flecks and fleabites throughout. 9-25554 (300-500)
