RARE NATCHEZ GROUPING. 1) S. O’Dell deringer, cal .40, 2-1/2” bbl marked “S.O- DELL” on top of bbl and “DERINGE” on top of the breech plug. Lockplate is unmarked. Made by Slotter in Philadelphia. NSN. CONDITION: Gray brown patina with light pitting and vise marks at the rear of bbl. Wood has numerous repairs in the unmarked lock area and lock does not fit quite right. 2) Small knife with 6-1/4” clip point blade is marked faintly on the left side “Goodell’s / STAR * / HUNTER / PAT. OCT. 6 / 1868”. The blade is fastened to a 4” rosewood handle with a lead fitting with acorn on each side. There are also lead stars on both sides. No scabbard. CONDITION: Gray patina with light pitting on the blade. The handle has several small scratches, one chip missing at the front. 3) One gallon potter jug with blue underglaze marking “A. P. SIMMS / FINE WHISKEYS / NATCHEZ, MISS.” CONDITION: Very good to fine with some roughness on the bottom and two small chips at the mouth. 4-50135 FS175 (3,000-4,000)
