FRENCH LADIES “BONHEUR DU JOUR”. Ladies two part secretary has ebony finish with tortoise shell and brass inlay. Top section has brass gallery, two doors, which are slightly curved and two drawers. Side columns have ormolu mounts with figures. Bottom section has pullout writing surface, one large drawer. Four cabriole type legs, each mounted by large mount with woman’s head and scroll design. Each leg is terminated with a scroll mount. SIZE: 50-1/2” h x 30” w x 20” d. CONDITION: Restoration needed to inlay, shows chips and some inlay missing. 9-93726 (1,500-2,500)
