MARY KING LONGFELLOW (American, 1852-1945) “FARMHOUSE CUSHING’S ISLAND. Fine watercolor landscape scene shows a home on a hillside nestled under blossoming apple trees with a stone wall and hillside. Initialed lower left and dated “1887”. Housed in a gilt wood frame with white matte. Attached to back are two Barridoff Galleries, Portland, Maine labels, one indicating that it descended from the collection of the artist, then to the small family of Portland, Maine. SIZE: Sight: 9-1/2″ x 17″. PROVENANCE: Ladd Heldenbrand Estate, So. Portland, Maine. CONDITION: Three small foxing spots in hillside, otherwise very good. 9-90912 (1,000-2,000)
