SAMUEL PETER ROLT TRISCOTT (American, 1846-1925)OLD FOG STATION ON MANANA ISLAND. Fine watercolor scene shows crashing waves on a rocky shore with sails on the horizon and the old fog station on a rocky bluff. Signed lower left “SP Rolt Triscott”. Beautifully housed in a blue and gold wood frame with thick linen matte. In 1905 Triscott moved to Monhegan and lived there permanently until the end of his life. He was one of the first artists to make the island his home. SIZE: SIGHT: 9″ x 13″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-91300 (1,500-2,500)
