SAMUEL PETER ROLT TRISCOTT (American, 1846-1925)OLD FOG STATION ON MANANA ISLAND. Fine watercolor scene shows crashing waves on a rocky shore with sails on the horizon and the old fog station on a rocky bluff. Signed lower left “SP Rolt Triscott”. Beautifully housed in a blue and gold wood frame with thick linen matte. In 1905 Triscott moved to Monhegan and lived there permanently until the end of his life.
