A RARE FUSEE MOVEMENT WATCH BY CHARLES CABRIER. Second quarter 18th Century. London. The enamel dial with Roman numeral and Arabic chapter rings centering the name “CABRIER” above London. The brass Fusee key-wind movement engraved “C. CABRIER/LONDON” with the serial number 12855 on the back plate. With verge chain-driven Fusee movement. SIZE: Dial: 1-3/8 dia. Case: 1-1/4 d. Case 1-3/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Enamel dial with cracks. Movement appears to be in operating order. Balance wheel moves freely.
