ARNALDO CASELLA TAMBURINI JR (Italian/American, 1885-1936) SPANISH FIESTA. Oil on board scene shows a man and woman dancing amongst a group of musicians with other people at tables. Signed middle bottom left “A Tamberini Jr”. Tamberini was Court painter to the Italian king and was of noble birth. Housed in a gilt molded wood replacement frame. PROVENANCE: Accompanying lot is a copy of an Exhibition of Paintings by Tamberini, Boston, Mass 1966 indicating that this was #18 in that exhibition. Also an appraisal from Arvest Galleries, Boston, Mass. SIZE: 30” x 23”. CONDITION: Small chip to central hat, otherwise very good. 9-70142 (2,000-3,000)
