OUTSTANDING LARGE SILVER RUSSIAN KOVSH WITH GILT SILVER INTERIOR. The shaped handle having an inscription in Cyrillic translated to: “K. ANDREI 25 YEARS OF UNIVERSITY IMPERIAL RUSSIAN DRAMATIC TROOP 25” at the point of the end is a double eagle w/crown; the enter of the bottom has a large medallion w/ double headed eagle. The outside has chasing of old Russian writing. The handle w/ hallmarks “84” St. Petersburg 1896-1903 and Liubavin with imperial warrant. WEIGHT: 19.7 Troy Oz. SIZE: 12-1/2″ long x 4-1/2″ high x 6-1/2″ wide CONDITION: Some light wear to gilt surface. Otherwise, very good. 9-26582 (15,000-20,000)
