ROMANO (Italian 19th/20th Century) PAIR OF ITALIAN SCENES. Both identically housed in a Eastlake type wood frames with linen mattes and gold binders. Each is a large gouache. One is signed lower left “Romano” and shows a harbor view with a volcano in the distance, with a horse drawn carriage and a person on road in the foreground. The other signed bottom right “Romano” shows a man, woman and child in a hay wagon pulled by oxen. They are in a pool of water with classical ruins in the background, under a sunset sky. SIGHT SIZE: 16-3/4” x 21-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-72781 (1,500-2,500)
