LARGE STERLING FOOTED LOVING CUP TROPHY BY TIFFANY & COMPANY. The piece marked “Tiffany & Co., 11057, makers, 8326, sterling silver, 925-1000 M. 6 1/2″ pints.” The flaring rim cup having three scroll handles with a stepped round base, the mark being #23 (1907-1947) in Carpenter’s book on Tiffany. First panel engraved with a design of a skeleton key over a scroll with monogram “CSP” and “CCJ.” Second panel with polished off inscription, and third panel having a partially removed inscription. The Scroll & Key Society is the wealthiest and second oldest secret society at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Notable members include: Dean Acheson, Sargent Shriver, Cole Porter and Gary Trudeau. WEIGHT: 53 tr. oz. SIZE: 9-3/4″ high, 7″ deep rim. CONDITION: One side inscription panel has been roughly removed and needs professional repolishing and buffing to smooth out, otherwise very good. 9-25329 (1,500-2,500)
