CHARLES PIERRON (French, fl. 1830-40’s) STREET LIFE, CAIRO, 1837. Two watercolors housed in a fine carved and partial-gilt modern frame with two cut-outs in a watercolor highlighted heavy matt. The first watercolor shows a slave trader bargaining a sale with a woman in front of him and other men. The other watercolor shows two men smoking pipe with a variety of merchandise on street. One watercolor signed Pierron, Caive 1837. SIZE: 3-1/2” x 8” and 5” x 4-3/4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-73034 (1,000-2,000)
