LARGE MEISSEN VASE WITH COVER. Late 19th century, France. Classical form urn applied overall with floral garlands, each side with putti gathering flowers on a stepped plinth base. The whole gilt heightened. Conforming reticulated lid surmounted by a floral spray. Beneath base crossed swords in underglaze blue. Additionally with incised numerals “105”, “114” and “2714”. SIZE: 20-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Left arm of one putto reattached. With losses to flower petals throughout. Lid broken and reassembled. 9-25378 (300-500)
