AMAZING RACING MOTORCYCLE BY FISCHER W/ OB. An astonishing, breathtaking, as well as whimsical early German tin windup motorcycle with rubber tires, chain driven, hand painted, and the original box with a lithographed racing scene on the lid. Not often does one stop in their tracks to view such a toy and be amazed by that said toy. The framework of the motorcycle consists of thin pieces of tin resembling wrenches and a bullet styled fuel tank. The driver, precariously perched, and appearing to be flying off the back of the motorcycle, he has accelerated, racing towards the finish line. The colorful box lid portrays a bandstand containing a plethora of people waving and cheering him on as the dust flies up from the rear tire. The motorcycle appears to be completely 100% original after close inspection by magnifying glass and black light as well. Mechanism is in working order. The bike comes directly fresh to the market from a European estate and would certainly be a highlight to any collection. SIZE: 7 1/4″ l. CONDITION: Overall extremely fine original condition. One handlebar detached from hand, minor wear to paint, flat spot on one rubber tire. Cardboard box is intact, showing some warpage and minor distress to one flap with small 1/2 piece missing. 8-76153 JL (20,000-30,000)
