TWO MEISSEN FIGURAL GROUPS. 19th to second quarter 20th century. German. First is candlestick depicting boy in pink floral coat astride of pair of baskets floral decorated on interior. Incised mark “3024”, red painted “17” with cross swords underglaze blue. Second depicting putto standing against tree draped in mauve floral garland. Incised mark “R23”, impressed mark “43”, black painted “61” with cross swords underglaze blue. SIZE: Candlestick: 5-3/4″ h. Putto: 7″ h. CONDITION: Candlestick has painted abrasion to tip of right shoe, otherwise very good. Putto is very good. 9-24866 (1,000-1,500)
