1865 SILVERPLATE PRESENTATION MIRROR PLATEAU, AND THREE PAIR OF CANDLESTICKS. Fine foliate relief cast silverplate presentation mirror plateau with inscription: “Presented to William Smith Batten, M.R.C.S.C. by a Numerous Circle of Friends in the Town & Neighborhood of Tamworth, to Whom He Has Respectfully Endeared Himself in The Skillful Discharge of His Professional Duties, 1865”, 2″h x 16-1/2″d; pair of weighted sterling candlesticks by Black, Starr & Gorham, 9″h; pair of Gorham Plate floral relief candlesticks, 10″h; and a pair of English silverplated candlesticks with acanthus leaf relief, 8″h. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Some minor denting in sterling candlesticks, wear to plating on English candlesticks, plateau in very good condition. 9-26853 (400-600)
