HARPER’S FERRY MODEL 1855 RIFLE. Cal .58. 33” round bbl dated 1861 on the tail of the lockplate and top of bbl. There are also two 8’s on top of bbl. No cartouches visible. The nipple remains in the patchbox. NSN. CONDITION: Very clean bright metal does not appear to have been polished. Stock is stamped “G.P.” just behind the lockplate. This marking is reasonably sharp but under a wax covering. Action is fine. 4-49730 FS38 (2,500-4,000)
