OUTSTANDING SIX PIECE STERLING SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE BY REED & BARTON IN THE “DEVONSHIRE” PATTERN. Pieces are date marked for 1938, also each piece on the base is marked “Devonshire Hand Chased” as well as “640C”. The set is decorated with repousse flowers and gadrooned border. No monogram. Set consisting of 12″ h coffee pot marked “4 1/4 Pts”, 8-1/2″ h teapot marked “2 1/2 Pts”, 7″ covered sugar, 5-3/4″ creamer, 4-1/2″ waste bowl and 28″ (33-1/4″ with handles) oval tray. SIZE: As noted. Weight: 285 troy oz. PROVENANCE: From a private New Jersey home. CONDITION: Very good. One small dimple in tray. 9-26190 (6,000-8,000)
