MERRILL CIVIL WAR CARBINE. Cal .52. 21-1/2” round bbl. Marked “J.H. MERRILL BALTO. / PAT. JULY. 1856.” on lock and operating lever. Lock is also marked “ATL.9.MAY 21-28-61”. SN 7434. CONDITION: Metal has been cleaned but not polished with some minor pitting. Wood is fine with minor handling marks. Action is tight. 4-49817 FS59 (1,500-2,500)
