ADAMS SALESMAN SAMPLE WINDMILL. Precision crafted miniature complete with brass castings and fully movable components. A particularly interesting facet of this model is that the blades turn inward to avoid damage during heavy storms. Weathervane tail is stenciled “Adams, Marseilles Mfg. Co., Marseilles, Ills., patented Sept. 23, 1873″. Base includes a brass maker’s tag, which reads” J. H. Goodell, Marseilles, Ills”. At one time the model had a wooden case that fit over the model, which is affixed to a wooden board. However, the cover no longer exists. SIZE: 24″ l x 17″ d.
