FREDERICK COFFAY YOHN (American, 1875-1933) ILLUSTRATION FROM SCRIBNER’S MAGAZINE. Scribner’s Magazine label on reverse indicating that this was from the article “A Knight of the Cumbeland” “Mart’s a Gittin’ Ready for a Tournament”. Black and white gouache scene shows a young lady sitting side saddle on her horse while another woman is behind on another horse and they are passing a horse with father and son. Signed lower left “FC Yohn”. Housed in a silver gilt molded wood frame with linen matte and silver lining. SIGHT SIZE: 20-3/4” x 14”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-72099 (1,500-2,500)
