CARVED LETTER AND PIPE WALL BOX. 19th century. Backboard carved and polychrome painted with floral sprays and mounted with a shelf fitted for 6 hanging pipes. Stationary or letter section carved and polychrome painted vignette of a square rigged ship, cannons, anchor and an array of British flags. All in old crusty surface. SIZE: 14″ h x 10-1/4″ w. CONDITION: Overall good with original surfaces and minor abrasion commensurate with age. Slight shrinkage cracks on backboard. 9-25837 (250-400)
