GERMAN PORCELAIN COMPOTE AND PORCELAIN LAMP BASE. Mid 20th century. German. Compote in the form of urn and cover, with leaf tip handles, each with young at play. The lid with seated child as finial, polychrome decorated overall. Lamp base in form of stylized tree trunk covered overall with floral vinery, additionally with two putti at play, one with symbols on a scrolled base. SIZE: Compote: 12″ h. Lamp base: 13-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: Compote & lamp base very good overall with minimal losses to flower petals. 9-24547 (300-500)
