BENCHMADE CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY WING CHAIR. Late 19th, early 20th century, New England. Nice country example with serpentine crestrail above the rectangular padded back flanked by deep ogival wings joined to rolled arms centering an overupholstered seat raised on square tapered and molded legs. Custom example now covered in pale blue/green upholstery. SIZE: 44″ h of back x 34″ w overall, 18″ h of seat. PROVENANCE: Acquired from Farnsworth family of Rockland, Maine.
