PAIR OF ROCOCO REVIVAL CARVED WALNUT ARMCHAIRS. Third quarter 19th century. The molded balloon back with scrolling pierced splats joined to padded arms on incurved molded supports centering an overupholstered shaped seat with molded C-scrolled rail raised on frontal cabriole legs, the rear legs backswept. SIZE: 41″ h of back, 25-1/2″ w overall. PROVENANCE: Barnard Estate of Augusta, Maine. CONDITION: Original surfaces. One rear leg on each chair with splicing and repairs. All casters replaced with extensions. 9-20998 (500-800)
