A CHINESE EXPORT CANN AND A MUG. Mid 19th Century. The Cann decorated overall with floral sprays, gilt decorated, and in shades of brown and cinnabar. Applied with a C-scrolled handle. The mug floral decorated and with a familial scene of frolicking youths in a garden. The flared rim with crenelated gilt border. SIZE: Height of first 6″. Height of second 5-3/4″. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Estate (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Very good overall. Normal expected wear to painted surfaces. 9-21267 (800-1,200)
