LOUIS SAPHIER (American, Early 20th Century) “GARDEN OF ST. JOHN’S CHURCH, NEW YORK CITY”. Unframed oil on canvas scene shows the formal gardens which surround a church building included are a series of garden paths with various small gardens having fences, pedestals, urns and decorative bird sculptures. Also the windows of the background buildings have window boxes filled with flowers. Signed lower left and dated “1935”. Titled and signed on back of canvas also. SIZE: 24″ x 36″. CONDITION: Appears to have a consistent discolored varnish, otherwise very good. 9-92082 (500-1,000)
