UNUSUAL PAIR OF KUTANI VASES WITH LACQUER PANELS. 2nd half 19th Century. Each decorated with rondels and panels of polychrome chrysanthemums and floral branches with birds. Applied with lacquer cartouches on opposing sides; one black, one red, with raised exotic birds in flight in bamboo and pine groves. SIZE: 12″ h. CONDITION: Structurally very good, lacquer panels with losses to edges and with dry cracking. 9-21488 (600-900)
