CONTINENTAL PAINT DECORATED HANGING SHELVES. Mid 19th Century, probably Dutch. The concave molded cornice joined to the rectangular case of four shelves, the lower most with plate guard over a bottom section intended for a pair of aligned short drawers, now absent. The apron fitted for hooks or pegs. Painted overall in red, rose and gray, the cornice with polychrome flower heads. SIZE: 45-1/2″ h x 32″ w x 7-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Retains original painted surfaces, missing pegs or hooks and two drawers. 9-20710 (275-375)
