FRAMED AUTOGRAPH: JAMES FARLEY; POLITICIAN (American, 1888-1976). The Mother’s Day tribute collage incorporates as its central pieces a typed written letter on the Postmaster General’s official Washington letterhead dated May 11, 1934. The letter is pen signed by James Farley and is sent to someone receiving the new stamp. Alongside the letter is the Mother’s Day cover and stamp dated May 2, 1934. Also incorporated in the collage is a photograph of mother and a print of Whistler’s Mother and a First Day Issue of Maine’s Statehood dated 1970. Housed in a gold metal frame with white matte having five cutouts. SIZE: Total: 14-3/4″ x 27-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-96207 (100-200)
