NEW ENGLAND PAINT DECORATED DOCUMENT BOX. First quarter 19th century. This nice example found in Maine with a hinged lid fitted with a mirrored plate, the interior in original flame orange paint. The exterior with simulated crotch mahogany panels within simulated rosewood borders. SIZE: 4-3/4″ h x 11-1/2″ l x 8-1/2″ w. CONDITION: All with original surfaces. Very good overall. Original mirror plate with foxing. 9-20961 (400-600)
