TWO CARVED MAHOGANY CHIPPENDALE MIRRORS. Last quarter 18th Century. Each with scroll cresting and ears. The rectangular plate within a gilt slip and molded frame. Each crest with a pierced gilt decorated carved phoenix. SIZE: 34″ h x 17″ w; 28-3/4″ h x 17-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: Estate of Nancy H. Woods, Boothbay, Maine. CONDITION: The first with repairs to crest including phoenix and pendant apron. The second with repairs to crest. Wear to gilt slip. Both with original mirror plate and backboard. 9-20901 (400-600)
