TWO ENGLISH VICTORIAN TEA CADDIES. Last quarter 19th century. The first a burled walnut Tunbridge inlaid example, the hinged lid opening to an interior of two tea compartments with crossbanded Tunbridge inlays throughout, and an abalone escutcheon. The second a figured walnut and rosewood crossbanded example with two tea compartments. SIZE: First: 6″ h x 9″ l x 5″ d. Second: 5″ h x 8-1/4″ l x 4-3/4″ d. CONDITION: Both with original surfaces. Each with covered compartments in need of restoration. The second example with small losses to ebonized quarter round moldings. Otherwise good. 9-98410 (300-400)
