PRIMITIVE STEEL TOOL WITH ENGRAVED DESIGN. Late 18th, early 19th century, possibly Welsh. The rectangular blade decorated overall with a lion beneath a crown within floral spandrels further within rune-like borders. Blade terminating in a flange with flattened pommel. SIZE: 16-3/4″ l x 6″ widest blade. CONDITION: Generally very good with old patina and minor surface pitting. 9-26068 (300-500)
