MAYNARD FIRST MODEL SPORTING RIFLE. Cal .40. 20” part oct bbl. Standard markings on the both sides of the frame and patchbox cover. It has a large turned brass piece in the primer well. The patchbox contains the spare nipple and a roll of Maynard primers. All three sights are correct. A sling ring has been installed in the trigger plate. SN 2035. CONDITION: Gray brown patina overall with light to moderate pitting, traces of blue on takedown lever and nipple. Lever is slightly bent. Bore is lightly pitted. 4-49740 FS95 (1,500-2,500)
