CARVED EAGLE WALL PLAQUE. Second half 20th century. Carved pine example of a displayed eagle, a banner within its beak, gripping a furled flag in its talons. The eagle gilt decorated, the banner in midnight blue and carved, but now illegible due to fire. The furled banner painted in red. SIZE: 16-1/2″ h x 45″ wingspan. CONDITION: Both wings with horizontal cracking. The painted and gilded surfaces damaged throughout by exposure to fire. 9-98609 (750-1,250)
