Consisting of a sailor made knotted cylindrical canister, 8-1/2″ l; a sailor’s shellwork valentine in a oak hexagonal frame, 8-1/2″ w; a pair of teak convex glass shipboard mirrors with gold lettering and British flags, “H.M.S. Unity” and “H.M.S. Opportune”, 9-3/4″ dia; and a French iron nautical motif commemorative centered with an image of a decorated mariner which is signed “Dupont, Paris, 1909”, the frame is stamped: “Offert Par H. Rochette, A Son President. Le Nourricier, Souvenir Du 20 Juin 1909, Mariniers, Ambulanciers, De France, S.O.P.”, 12″ h x 21″ w. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine.
