FINE JAPANESE BRONZE KEROSENE LAMP TOGETHER WITH BRONZE VASE. Last quarter 19th century. The first a baluster form vase cast with floral and insert cartouche in three bands now fitted with a simulated kerosene burner as a lamp mounted on a hardwood base. The second originally designed as a fluid lamp retaining original burner frame now fitted with an electrical lamp, the base cast with fanciful birds raised on stylized feet with animal heads. SIZE: First: 25-1/2″ h overall. Second: 22″ h overall. PROVENANCE: Estate of Nancy H. Woods, Boothbay, Maine. CONDITION: With good old patina and original surfaces.
