UNSIGNED (19th/20th Century) EMPRESS OF IRELAND. Oil on canvas advertising piece for the “Canadian Pacific Railway Co.” The canvas unstretched and mounted to board outlined with a rope motif surrounding a depiction of the two stack black hulled ocean liner over which flies a large airship above which is written “Quebec – Halifax – South Hampton”. On bottom left is original commercial artist label from “Gustave Badol” dated 7/9. Housed in a black painted wood frame with glass. SIZE: Sight: 32-1/2″ x 45-1/2″. Canvas: 30″ x 43″.
