PARQUETRY INLAID TILT TOP STAND. Last quarter 19th century, Germany or Bavaria. The square parquet top with gadrooned edge inlaid with various exotic hard woods in the form of a central octagon within a four pointed star within a checkerboard border, hinged and tilting on an acanthus carved and columnar standard joined to a round floral carved plinth on a parquetry carved square base raised on square fluted feet. SIZE: 29″ h x 21″ x 21″. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Generally very good. Top repolished. 9-26845 (800-1,200)
