ENGLISH IRONSTONE SPODE SERVING PLATTER WITH LATER CONSOLE. The platter is late 19th, early 20th century; console is last quarter 20th century. The deep platter with canted and notched corners decorated overall in underglaze blue floral design in the Oriental taste. The underside with incised marking “PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA” with an additional blue crown mark above a swag. Now mounted in a conforming mahogany console table with door. SIZE: Platter: 20-3/4″ x 16-1/2″ l. Console: 27-1/4″ h x 25″ l x 20-1/2″ w. CONDITION: The platter with surface scratches and some spots of discoloration in glaze, overall very good.
