Lot consists of: 9-1/4″ sq. covered serving dish, the base and top titled “Hog-Hunters Meeting by surprise a tigress & her cubs”. Impress marked “Spode 24” also blue “Spode”. Rectangular 9-1/4″ x 7-3/4″ serving dish cover marked “Hunting a Buffalo”, Impress marked “Spode 6” and blue “Spode”. Six 9-1/2″ bowls with no title but being “Chase after a wolf”. Impress marked “Spode 16” (5) and one “Spode 5”. 10″ similar plate but marked “Copeland & Garret Late Spode” having title. Two 8-1/4″ bowls impress marked “Spode 16” with a blue “Spode” mark. Scene shows hunters with spears after a bear with elephant in background. 8″ bowl titled “Common Wolf Trap” Copeland & Garret Late Spode”. CONDITION: All are very good, two 8-1/4″ bowls have two small flecks to top rim. 9-98708 (1,500-2,500)
